The recent Copeland Borough Council policy responses to nuclear issues are listed in date order. We will continue to update and add to.

Some of the latest examples include the Council's response to the Environment Agency on the Low Level Waste Repository at Drigg and also a combined response to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority's Strategy.

NDA Strategy Combined Response The Council carried out a consultation exercise with around 70 organisations before finalising its views. A joint submission was made to the NDA, which sets out common views from the local authorities and other key representational bodies.
In addition to Copeland Borough Council, the submission was agreed by Cumbria County Council, Allerdale Borough Council, West Cumbria Strategic Partnership, Cumbria Strategic Partnership, Cumbria Association of Local Councils (representing town and parish councils) and West Cumbria Development Agency.
