How are we doing?
 

66% of homes and businesses in the UK are connected to an ADSL enabled exchange.

Millom has hit its Broadband Target!

Millom has reached the target set by BT to have Broadband enabled in the town. In July 2003 BT gave Millom a target of 500 registrations of interest to prove demand for Broadband, the 23rd January 2004 saw Millom hit the target.

Vikki Turner, Millom & Area Market Town Programme Manager said of the Broadband Campaign success:

"This is excellent news. Millom reaching the target set by BT really has been a team effort with schools, businesses, organisations and individuals all promoting the campaign and encouraging registrations."

 

Millom has now be informed of the Ready For Service (RFS) date, which will be the 24th May 2004.

The Ready For Service date is when the Millom exchange will be enabled to provide Broadband.

If you would like to register for Broadband once it is available you can register with your chosen Internet Service Provider, a list of providers can be found at:
