2nd Deposit Version

The Copeland Local Plan 2001 - 2016 2nd Deposit Version proposed changes to be made to the 1st Deposit of the Plan.

These changes were made after careful consideration of representations made in response to the 1st Deposit Version of the Plan, the Sustainability Appraisal, changes to central Government guidance and the emerging Cumbria Joint Structure Plan (www.planningcumbria.org.uk) and Regional Spatial Strategy (www.nwra.gov.uk).

Reports relating to the treatment of objections to the 1st Deposit Version are provided on this site.

The Copeland Local Plan 2001-2016 2nd Deposit Version was published by the Council on 21st April 2005. The period for making comments had now ended. A pre-Inquiry meeting was held on 5th July in Cleator Moor Civic Hall.

The Public Inquiry will commence 27th September 2005. Further details will be posted on this site in due course.

Copies of the Copeland Local Plan 2001-2016 2nd Deposit Version are available for public inspection at the Council Offices and libraries across the Borough.
