COMMUNITY GRANTS
Each of the three Districts have secured £30,000 (£10,000 each year for 3years) of Sport Action Zone funding, for community sports chest awards to local community groups and local organisations.
Allerdale's
is administered through the partnership of the Community Foundation and coordinated
by Allerdale Borough Council. It awards grants of up to £500.
Copeland's
is administered through a cross-boundary partnership, with representatives from
Connexions, Groundwork Trust, Millom Healthy Communities and South Whitehaven
Partnership. Copeland Borough Council is the lead body and grants of up to £500
are awarded.
Barrow's
is administered through the cross-boundary partnership of Barrow Borough Sports
Council and awards grants of up to £1000.
