The Beacon has rooms that can be hired for a variety of purposes. We can also cater with tea and coffee and buffet lunches. Advance booking is required.

Please note: the room is unavailable on Mondays (all day) and Tues to Fri mornings during term time - as it is used by Let's Play.

 
Darkroom:
Available at £10 + VAT per hour and includes the cost of all equipment and chemicals. Users should bring their own paper. The darkroom is available for booking by appointment only.

Education Suite: Suitable for meetings, workshops & conferences and has separate kitchen and toilet facilities. 60 people sat in theatre style; 25 people block table. Cost: £13 per hour £44 per half day £78 per full day Discounts available to regular users of the Education Suite (Free to schools when used as part of a Museum visit)

Harbour Gallery:
The ideal setting for talks and concerts. Evening bookings £35 per hour. Daytime bookings available on request.

Weather Gallery - 4th Floor:
With its panoramic views of the harbour and across the Solway, this room is often used for social occasions and wine-tasting's. Evening bookings £35 per hour. Daytime bookings available on request.

Library:
Available FREE for educational and non-profit making research. Charges if user to profit from research, or for meetings of up to six people.

Cost: Free for personal research - £13 per hour for professional use
