The Beacon is undergoing a total refurbishment and the main museum floors will be closed until 5th October 2007.
The Harbour Gallery will be open until 17th June showing the exhibition 'Legacy'.
This is in commemoration of the Bicentenary of the Abolition of Slavery Act 1807.
The exhibition contains work by contemporary British and African artists. They draw attention to the lessons of history relating to enforced migration.
The Beacon continues the following services, and the staff are available to deal with enquiries/bookings about other services after the reopening.
